    Default pumping tubes

The tubes for my Medela PIS are dirty. Some milk and water got in them and I can't seem to clean them right. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get them clean? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can try running warm water through the tubes for several minutes, then hanging them up to drain. Once you have just a few water beads left (VERY few), hook the tubes back up to the pump WITHOUT the bottles and let it run for several minutes -- the pump will dry out the tubes.

I always let the pump run this way for several minutes after each feeding to dry out the tubes as much as possible between pumping sessions. It works pretty well, and actually keeps the tubes quite clean.

after washing you could use your hubbys air compresser to blow them out.. I know I know redneck but Id rather do that than accidently ruin my pump..

The Medela steam clean microwave bags get my tubes really clean. Use lots of water when you do tubes!

I contacted Medela about this very problem. They suggested boiling the tubes as well. I would prefer to just replace them but can't seem to find them anywhere!

Try http://www.breakoutbras.com. They are a Medela parts dealer, and they also have free shipping. I bought replacement tubes and "horns" when I needed to replace.
