Default Oats, rice, quinoa and tofu.

    Hi,

My ds is 7 months next week. I'm not giving him cereal but wanted him to try oats. How do I prepare it? I usually have it cold with milk. Can I just mix it with formula and warm it up a bit or does it have to be cooked?
How often can I give it to him?

Also, can I give him brown rice, quinoa and tofu?

    Thanks for any advice!

As far as Oatmeal goes, we take the whole container of unprepared Old fashion Oats dump it into the food processor/coffegrinder and grind up until it is smaller consistency and put it back into the container. Some people on here serve it really thick in chunks that baby can pick up. We didn't have much luck with that.

    Good Luck. Great info pghvegan

Thanks. The chunks seem a good idea! But if I serve it "the normal way" do I have to cook it orcan I just warm it up with the milk?

You are cooking such a small amount that it takes a lot less time. I use half breastmilk and half water.
