    Default timing of the pumping

Quick pumping question here... I pump a bottle for my ds after his morning feeding. This is the bottle my husband gives him in the evening when I am wore out. My question is... do I need to pump in the evening to simulate the feeding my ds is getting from the bottle?

thanks so much for any insight...

I do, but that just me.
It doesn't really need to be the exact time when your baby would nurse, it can be some other time, so long as you replace the absent feeding session. Hope that helps.

thanks... I suppose I should have mentioned that my ds is 8 weeks old and 8 lbs. 15 oz. He was 7lbs 5 oz @ birth.

I feel like I should pump during his evening bottle, but am still not sure. anyone else have advice about how supply for particular times of day might be affected by this? If we don't do the bottle one evening, will I have enough milk to satisfy him?

    thanks

Your milk supply is lowest at the end of the day since your hormones are on the decline. If you don't feed ds from the breast until late night or next morning i would pump.
