    Default Engorgement

My right breast is constantly engorged. Constantly. I pump several times a day because when it gets engorged, then it get clogged ducts. This is also the side that has OALD and so my son refuses (absolutely refuses) to nurse on it...even if I pump enough milk out to not over-power him. I've tried different holds, etc...but nothing.

My question is...when will this engorged side stop being engorged? I nurse him strictly on the left side...and I went 2 days without pumping at all (owwwwie) and nothing...I pump some out and immediately its engorged again.

What am I doing wrong?? Will it ever go away? I did not have this problem with my daughter...

You went two days without nursing or pumping on that side, and the production level didn't decrease at all? How long have you been feeding on one side?

    For 4 straight days.

No, no decrease. In fact, my right breast as of this moment is rock hard again...I would not pump, but its so painful...
