    Default flowing to fast????

Hi. I want to start off by saying that I LOVE this site. I am a mother of 3 and this is the first baby I have been able to bf. This site has helped me so much thanks to every one. My baby is now 9 weeks old and for the last week or so I have been having problems. I can get him latched on fine but he pull off and swallow real big and he chokes a lot. When he pulls off we both end up with milk all over. I am guessing that my flow is to fast for him maybe? Can any one help with some ideas on how to fix this? Thank you

sometimes just changing the way you hold baby will help.

Hi - welcome and congratulations on your new baby!

Sound like you may have some over supply and/or over active let down (OALD) going on.

There's a ton of great advice in the "too much milk" section of this forum:
    http://forums.llli.org/forumdisplay.php?f=32

    and some resources:

    hope this helps!
