Default Is my machine still good to use?

I have a PIS that I used daily when I went back to work in May 2005. I'll be delivering any day now and I assume that I can still use it at the end of my maternity leave in March. Will I need to replace any parts before using it again? Anything else I should consider before using it again?

You might consider calling 1-800-TELLYOU and speaking directly with a Medela representative.

You should check with your insurance company. A friend from these boards told me that some insurance companies will cover part of the cost of a breast pump. I checked with mine (Blue Cross and Blue Shield) and they covered 100% of the cost for a Medela PIS Advanced. All I had to do is get a prescription for the pump from the pediatrician and take it to a "durable medical equipment pharmacy." Check with your insurance company!!

Thanks for the suggestions...especially for the tip on the insurance coverage. I'll definately look into that!
