There are many OTC and prescription allergy medications that are perfectly compatible with breastfeeding. It's probably easier if you give us a list of the drugs you'd normally take and one of us can look it up in Hale's for you

MBC - can you please post the specific name of the drug? I am not familiar with what is in Tylenol Allergy/Sinus. However, you will probably want to stay away from pseudoephedrine (Sudafed) as it can cause supply problems in some women.

I can look most everything up in Hale's but in the interim, you can take a look at this page too -- it's not LLL approved but it's got information on the lactation risk categories of lots of drugs -- http://www.kellymom.com/health/meds/index.html

Watch for those things that may dry up your sinuses as they may also dry up your milk!

Allergy meds are fine, like Claritin, but decongestants usually aren't like Claritin-D and Sudafed ... I think!

    This is a good resource:

You can always ask your local LLL Leader or IBCLC for the information directly from MMM (aka Hale's).
