Thread: where should I donate my breast pumps and accessories?

  1. #1

Question where should I donate my breast pumps and accessories?

    Hello!

I am no longer pumping and I would like to donate my breast pumps and accessories. Does the LLLI or anyone have a recommendation for an organization where I could make such a donation? I know used pumps are not ideal but surely there is a need somewhere?

    Thanks for your help!

Officially, most breast pumps are " single user medical devices" and are therefore not something that organizations that take donations are looking for. Unofficially, a lot of used pumps do change hands out in the parking lot after LLL meetings!

Good to know Medela now has a recycling program. I wonder what exactly they do to "recycle" though...
