Unhappy Zoloft? Not sure what to do

I've been feeling down since my daughter was born. Really irritable, sad, sometimes hopeless. I don't think I have "depression" really because I'm generally pretty functional. I say my OB and he wrote me for Zoloft. I did some research and it seems to be pretty safe, but I haven't started taking it yet because I'm still worried it could somehow hurt my baby.
Has anyone here taken it while breastfeeding before?

Check infantrisk for info on safe meds while breastfeeding. Tho there may be others here with experience first hand!

Here's the link to Infant Risk: http://www.infantrisk.com

IMO, before starting a medication like Zoloft, it's a good idea to talk to a psychiatrist, and to get a complete work-up done by your family doctor. I'm not saying your obstetrician gave you bad advice! I just think it's a really good idea to talk to a variety of professionals before going down this avenue.
