I have had to nurse/pump with all of my children. For different reasons.
What I do know is that I always have a low supply and my nipples are relatively flat.
I'm pregnant with a singleton this time and determined to breastfeed for at least 12 months.
I've read that while pregnant there is a method of breaking up tight tissue around nipple. Also, something about a suction you put over the nipple to help make them less flat.
Does anybody have more specific information on this?
Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the baby to come!
The method you're thinking of is something called the Hoffman technique. You can read up on it, and some other possibilities, here: http://www.llli.org/faq/flat.html
