Just curious as to how much mommy's who have to pump are storing for their LO to eat at each feeding? I've only been able to pump 2 1/2 to 3 oz per breast every few hours or so (that's with pumping for 20-30 min).
The reason I'm asking is bc I was told by the daycare my 7 week old baby eats very quickly and still suckles after he's done. He doesn't cry for more (which believe me he will CRY if hes hungry lol) and seems content after bottle feeding. Its the suckling afterwards that's concerning. Now with that said, he loves his pacifier when my breast is not available, and hes loves to comfort nurse. After eating for 20 min or so with my breast he unlatches when hes full, but then re-latches a few min later to comfort (I can hear that hes not swallowing and only very gently suckles every so often). I want to make sure I'm not under feeding him at daycare, I tell them to feed on demand but don't let him go past 3 hours without eating. Sometimes I see that they fed him every 3 hours, other times its 2 hours.
Should I tell them to give him another bag if hes still suckling, or do you think its him wanting to comfort?? How much does your 2 month eat (I know every baby is different, just want to know on average)? Thanks in advance ladies!
p.s. weight gain and wet/bm diapers are very good
