Default How fast can you dry up?

How long does it take for you to dry up if your away from your baby? If you still bf can you dry up? I've heard some really incongruent things i really don't think are quiet wright. How about a baby around 7 months simply not wanting the breast any more?? i've got my own thoughts about all this...

BF is based on a supply and demand principle. As long as there is a demand there will be a supply. There are some factors that may reduce supply but "drying up" while you're still BF is not at all likely (I don't want to say it never happens b/c I'm sure there is that off chance anomaly). If your 7 mos old is not wanting to nurse it could be a nursing strike, among many other possibilites. If you give us a little more info on what specifically is happening we can help.
