Default Can increase in BF cause you to skip an ovulation cycle?

So, haven't had a period since June. A stick test was negative 2 weeks ago... still no period... tell me that more extensive breast feeding during the summer break (between June and Aug) can cause you to skip an ovulation and I'm not pregnant? I'm trying to be patient and see if my period starts back up this month now that I'm back in the classroom before I do another test. My daughter is 19 months old and I'm not ready to have another one.

    Questions for you-
Were you having regular cycles prior to the last few months?
Has baby dramatically increased nursing, and is nursing round the clock?
Are you using any form of hormonal contraception (pill, minipill, patch, ring, Mirena IUD)?
Coolest thing my big girl said recently: "How can you tell the world is moving when you are standing on it?"
Coolest thing my little girl sang recently: "I love dat one-two pupples!"
