Default Please help feeding challenges in late preterm baby

Hi moms! First time posting here, I gave birth via a c section at 37 weeks0 days to a baby girl due to placenta previa. Was told by the lactation consultant at the hospital t since my baby is a late pretermer I should feed her on 1 breast, rent a hospital grade pump, pump and supplement with a bottle.
Did that for 2 days, but found baby to have bottle preference. Our pediatrician suggested switching to a syringe, we are finding the syringe process to be exhausting and too time consuming. It takes us 7 minutes at best on each breast, followed by an hour to an hour and a half on the syringe to give her 30 ml, which is the amount our pediatrician suggested to make sure she doesn't loose weight. Which she has been doing so far.
Does anyone have suggestions to make this easier or faster? We cannot afford a LC to come to our house to help us, so would appreciate any suggestions
    Thanks

Hi momma231. I also had two babies born via c-section at 37 weeks. (not twins-9 years apart!) We had challenges but I nursed them both. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone!

I have a few ? that I hope will help me to give you suggestions. I am also PMing you FYI.

What was the reason for baby being supplemented with the bottle, syrynge, or anything else? Any reason besides baby born at 37 weeks?

Are you and baby out of the hospital?

How old is baby, what was baby's birth weight, and what was baby's weight last weight check? Were the checks on the same or different scales?

How many times a (24 hour) day does baby poop and what do they look like? (size, color, consistency)

Why is baby nursing only 7 minutes on each breast? Is baby falling asleep?

How many times a day does baby nurse?

How many times a day do you pump?

how many times a day do you give the supplement of 30 mil?

Is the supplement your breastmilk, donated breastmilk, formula, a combo?

    Thanks.

Thanks for responding! here are my answers:

What was the reason for baby being supplemented with the bottle, syrynge, or anything else? Any reason besides baby born at 37 weeks?
Being born at 37 weeks, being sleepy and unable to stay own for more than 5-7 minutes at a time.

Are you and baby out of the hospital?
    Yes we are

How old is baby, what was baby's birth weight, and what was baby's weight last weight check? Were the checks on the same or different scales?
Now baby is 38 weeks and 2 days old, I.e 1 week and 2 days old
Last weight check, she had lost 2oz in a day( from me trying no supplements but only exclusive bfeeding)
Yes they were different scales: birth weight 6lbs 5oz, discharge weight 5 lbs 10 oz, doctors office weight 5lbs 8oz

How many times a (24 hour) day does baby poop and what do they look like? (size, color, consistency)
Sometimes she poops2-3 times a day but sometimes like yesterday no poops. They are mustard yellow liquidy, and she typically will pass a small amount like 1cc etc with gas

Why is baby nursing only 7 minutes on each breast? Is baby falling asleep?
Yes falling asleep and not sucking anymore

How many times a day does baby nurse?
Aim for 8 times a day, sometimes 9, if she doesn't initiate a fees then I wake her up

How many times a day do you pump?
    After each feed

how many times a day do you give the supplement of 30 mil?
    After each feed

Is the supplement your breastmilk, donated breastmilk, formula, a combo?
    My pumped milk
