    Default Dry Nipple?

My 14 month old is cutting his top molars (not sure about the bottom ones yet). He co-sleeps with us and nurses, for what seems, all night long. He's been asking to nurse frequently (~6 times a day if not more). I don't have an issue with it, except that my nipples are getting very sore. I have not had a period since he was born, so I don't know if my cycle is returning. It almost seems like my nipples are dry. My question is, besides lanolin, what could I do for my nipples? It's getting to the point where it's painful when he latches on.

Sore and dry-looking? Like peeling/flaking skin dry? That sounds like thrush, which is a common cause of pain when it crops after many months of trouble-free nursing.
Coolest thing my big girl said recently: "How can you tell the world is moving when you are standing on it?"
Coolest thing my little girl sang recently: "I love dat one-two pupples!"

They are sore and dry looking. No peeling of flaking.
