    Default Doesn't want a bottle

My 4.5 month old is now refusing bottles when I am way from him (on a good day the sitter can get two 3 ounce bottles in him; on a normal day he fights and is willing to take 2 ounces once- I've ruled out lipase) but doesn't show increased hunger or frustration signs. He is nursing great over 20lbs so no MAJOR concern but I do feel like he should be taking more. Do you think we should start to use my frozen milk and mixing with rice cereal just so he is getting something? Is this a fair substitute so that he's not thinking I'll just wait for momma? I do not know if I should even be concerned as he nurses at least 3 times over night (we are very on deman/cosleep etc). I really did not want to do purees but maybe just cereal w/milk? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

I would not do cereal. If baby is happy, gaining well, meeting milestones, and messing diapers, then he's getting enough. Especially since you're co-sleeping and nursing at night. "On demand" means not forcing it when they're not interested just as much as it means offering on their cues. (Of course, if baby is not gaining well or not eating enough times total in 24 hours that would be a different story)
