Default Offer cereal before or after breastfeeding?

We are beginning to introduce our daughter to rice cereal - just a couple spoonfuls a day mixed really thin with breastmilk... but I'm not sure when to offer this to her... do I breastfeed first and then offer cereal? Or do I offer cereal first and then breastfeed? I figure if I wait until after I nurse her then she will not be hungry anymore, but if I do it before then she may be too hungry and get frustrated... any advice would be much appreciated!

It's best to offer solids *after* nursing, especially when baby is just experimenting with solids.

It is best to offer solids after nursing until the baby is about a year old. If you offer them first, you run the risk of baby filling up on solids instead of breastmilk. Breastmilk needs to be the baby's primary souce of nourishment for the entire first year.
