my whole day is feeding

Ok my baby isn't gaining...I know its just been a week but it makes me nervous. His clothes also fit a little differently...baggier in the tummy.

I haven't been able to get a decent reading on a feeding; when we did a weigh at the clinic, he was too distracted and didn't feed well...we got about 3/4 oz after an hour and a half without draining the breasts...that's a little less than what I thought I was producing. Its nowhere near enough even if he is getting an oz each hour its about 6-8 oz shy.

Anyways..I just thought I would report back. I know this whole exercise improved my supply from where it was and its made supplemental feeding less frustrating. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner.

I am much more optimistic about the next baby in any event. Thank you everyone!

Hey mama! Sorry the weigh in didn't go exactly as planned! You can always try again I would just get him on the boob as much as possible - you can do this! Best of luck to you
