    Default Walnuts

I noticed yesterday, a few hours after I ate walnuts and fed the baby, he rapidly developed a bright red, bumpy rash that spread over his face and back of his neck. Is it even possible for the baby to have an allergic reaction. Or more accurately, can nut allergens pass into the breast milk?

The easy answer is yes allergens can pass through milk. That seems like it happened very quickly though. I'm not saying it wasn't the walnuts, but I wouldn't jump right to that assumption either. How old is your baby? Have you noticed any other symptoms of allergy? Tummy discomfort, mucousy stool, congestion? Did the rash linger?
