    Default milk and fenugreek

    I have a question for all of yall out there, did anyones baby refuse tio nurse when you started to use fenugreek. My little one would not nurse untill I stopped using it. Also how much milk does a brestfeed 3 mon old need?

    hi there.

    i've used fenugreek several times...and it's worked great for me...and i didn't have the problem with baby refusing the nurse when i was taking it. are you sure it's not anything else in your diet? like gassy foods (beans, broccoli, etc)? you can also try eating oatmeal or drinking mother's milk tea (by traditional medicinals) to help increase your supply.

    as for your 3month old...according to kellymom.com, "exclusively breastfed babies take in an average of 25 oz (750 mL) per day between the ages of 1 month and 6 months. Different babies take in different amounts of milk; a typical range of milk intakes is 19-30 oz per day (570-900 mL per day)."
