Re: How to continue breastfeeding exclusively for 8 weeks ol
When you're first nursing more and pumping more it's very normal for pump output to drop. But over time the frequent demand should translate into improved supply.
Tips on safer bed-sharing:
- Sleep surface should be firm. No water beds.
- Sleep surface should be free of gaps that baby can roll into and become trapped in. This means that couches and chairs and other upholstered furniture is not acceptable for co-sleeping. Beds should not have gaps between the mattress and wall or headboard.
- Baby should not be enveloped in fluffy bedding. A heavy, puffy blanket or lots of pillows- those are things you want to avoid.
- Adults who share a bed with a baby must be free of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. They also must be free of sleep disorders like narcolepsy.
