When my little one was 14 months old, we had to take a trip for a funeral and ended up basically weaning during the day so that when we got back, he only nursed once in the morning, once in the evening. Then, about two weeks ago (at 15.5 months) he got an ear infection and also started cutting mad molars. All of the sudden, he is wanting to nurse ALL THE TIME. He really seems more interested in using me as a pacifier than nursing, since my milk supply has dropped. He nurses still in the morning, then wants to have a mom-pacifier 3-4 times during the day, and nurses again at night. I am trying to wean him back down again, but am having HUGE battles at naps and bedtime. He wants to nurse regardless of not having any milk because he just nursed. Is this probably related to teething? Should I just let him have his mom-pacifier and this will pass? I feel frustrated because he just wants to nurse all the time, and it gets really painful. Any thoughts? When my husband is home i am having to have him put the little guy down for naps because he won't tolerate me putting him down without nursing. It turns into a huge temper tantrum/battle and makes me feel terrible. Would love to hear any other experiences with this age!
