Default Slow flow or Fast flow nipples?

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, but here goes anyway.

My 4.5 month old gets 1 bottle each day to keep her accustomed to taking a bottle. We use Playtex Nurser nipples with the drop in bags; she takes this type of nipple better than any other that we've tried. We use slow flow nipples - should we switch to fast flow at any point? I've heard that bottle fed babies usually switch to fast flow around her age, but since she only gets 1 bottle per day I'm not really comfortable with switching her to the faster flow. I'm scared she'd choke.

I would stick with the slow flow. It's most like nursing, and if she switches to the faster flow I'd be concerned that it could interfere with her suck when it was time to nurse. We used the Playtex nursers until my son weaned, with slow flow nipples, and didn't have any problems.

Thanks! That was also a concern of mine.

I also used slow-flow nipples for the whole time my dd was taking a bottle.

Sorry for the short responses...always, always, always NAK or holding a baby
