    Default Let's talk about poop...

I know that it is normal for a bf baby to go several days w/o having a bm. DD went two days w/o having oe and when she did last night it was EXTREMELY thick and brown. (it stunk really bad too). She went again today and again it is thick, brown and very smelly. Is this normal? I never experienced this w/ my son.

How old is your baby? After 6 weeks and before starting solids, it's totally normal for a breastfed baby to go as often as several times a day or as infrequently as once a week. If you have a once-a-week pooper, the end product is going to be stinkier.
Coolest thing my big girl said recently: "How can you tell the world is moving when you are standing on it?"
Coolest thing my little girl sang recently: "I love dat one-two pupples!"

She's two months (almost 3). It was just the back to back stinky, thick. Ones that had me concerned. Good to know its normal Ty.

My babies went 1-2 weeks between.
    Proud mom of 2:
DD 5/2008 nursed for 3 years and 3 months.
DS born 8/2011 nursing like a champ

Sorry for the short responses...always, always, always NAK or holding a baby
