I'm desperately hoping someone will be able to give me advice on this topic. I just had my third baby via c-section this past Wednesday. I was unable to breastfeed my first two babies due to medications I was taking at the time. So I am still a breastfeeding newbie. With this baby, I was only able to try breastfeeding when she was two days old. Lactation finally saw me at the end of the second day, and my milk was slow to come in. Since the very first time, my baby has refused to take my left breast. My nipple is very small and goes inwards a bit, but lactation says my nipple is fine, even though they could not get her to take it at any time when they were seeing me. She was happy with my right, but ever since we have come home she will latch on quite well, suck a few times (and she's swallowing so I know she's getting milk) then let go of it and refuse more. She seems to hate breastfeeding, but will happily drink my pumped milk from a bottle. I desperately don't want to bottle feed, or feed her only pumped milk. I am finding that the only way I am able to exclusively feed her breast milk is if it has been pumped. She is only 5 days old so I don't want this to snowball out of control. She can latch just fine, is a very healthy eater and there is nothing wrong with my breasts.
Any advice for me?
