Re: How often should a two month old eat?
Totally normal. Both my kids nursed every 1-2 hours in the day during their first 6 months or so. Around 6 months, they would occasionally go 2-3 hours between nursing sessions if they were exceptionally busy or out and about in public.
Is the frequent daytime nursing getting you down? If it is, I just want to say that it does get better with time. Right now your baby isn't interested in much besides nursing and cuddling, and she probably takes a long time to nurse. But she is growing stronger and more adept every day, which means she is going to become a faster nurser. And she is also developing both physically and mentally in ways that will soon allow her to be interested in and entertained by things like toys or her own fingers or her toes- and as the world becomes more interesting most babies spend less time just hanging out at the breast.
Coolest thing my big girl said recently: "How can you tell the world is moving when you are standing on it?"
Coolest thing my little girl sang recently: "I love dat one-two pupples!"
