Hi. I have a 9 week old. I'm dealing with an oversupply issue. I had it tamed for almost 2 weeks but then decided to pump in the am for a week to get a stash and I'm back to square 1. I'm trying to fix it quicker this time bc I recognized it as.soon as.it started back up. Here are my questions/concerns...
1.I had to do 6-8 hour blocks last time bc my daughter fed for only 7-10 min at a time....wasn't coming close to emptying breast. Is that what I'm aiming for? 'emptying' each breast? If I block for 3 hours I know she isn't even putting a dent in my supply. Am I thinking about it corrrectly? Is that how I determine when to switch sides? Just want to have a plan laid out.
2. Now that she's sleeping closer to 6 or 7 hours at night does that mean I have to wake her up?! I really don't want to and am hoping some of you havent had to if you've been there
3. I only pumped for a week and was in line with my blocks....only pumped one side. Now that I stopped I'm nervous about going back to work in 3 weeks and having a major problem with pumping several times a day.
I'm just stressed! Any advice if you've been there is appreciated
