Default Co-sleeping with a vomiting baby

DS will be a year old in 4 days. He has his first stomach virus and has thrown up 6 times in the past 4 hours. We co-sleep and I normally nurse him throughout the night.

What should I do when he wakes up wanting to nurse? Give it a try and see if he can keep it down? Try to rock him back to sleep instead of nursing him?

I fear it's going to be a long night.

During illnesses I have put towels down on the bed (and kept a stack of clean towels on the nightstand) and nurse whenever my son has asked. It's important to stay hydrated while you re sick, so it's important for babies to nurse.

I hope your son starts feeling better soon! Stomach bugs are no fun.

I just changed out the first set of towels. I tried nursing him and he threw up immediately. : ( My husband is rocking him now and I'll try again in a few hours when he asks again. Thanks!

You're doing the only thing you can do - try to keep him hydrated while preparing for more vomit. It makes for a rough night. I hope he feels better soon!
