your milk supply can be increased
your infant can become a stronger, better coordinated nurser
your infant will gain weight.
all your breastfeeding goals can be attained.
but first... your LO needs to be fed. you can feed him donated breastmilk, your own expressed milk or formula. He needs to be fed 2 ounce every two hours.
You can use a bottle, an SNS or even a cup.
you can build up your milk supply by expressing using a hospital grade pump and hand expressing too.
If you have been pumping 8-10 times a day and you have not seen an uptick in production there could be an underlying physical reason, not just a learning to manage breastfeeding better issue.
however, for the next few days I would yield to the doctors expertise. Your baby needs to be fed and needs to re-gain his birth weight.
