Default Help for a friend in need

Hi there, I once again need advice this time for a friend.

She had her ds#2 on the 19july and has blisters on both nipples making bfing extremely painful. I've told her to check her position whilst nursing and latch, but is there anything else I ciuld be telling her. Does this ring any bells to any of you? My dear friend is on the verge of giving up which is such a shame as she bfed her ds#1for 18months and I know she'll take it hard if she can't do the same for #2.

    Thanks again

She needs hands on help and evaluation from an IBCLC. I'd wonder if this baby has a tongue tie or something making this baby more difficult to nurse.

Also, she needs to pay special attention to positioning. Us moms who nurse older toddlers get sloppy about position and latching skills.

Thanks Susan. As we're in France we don't have IBCLC's but we do have pretty good clinics where she can get advice re latch etc. At least they can point her in the right direction for an Lc equivalent
