Default capacity of a 6 week old's stomach??

Today I fed my LO (6 weeks) by bottle (to get him back onto the bottle for work purposes). He ate around 3 oz. Took a nice 2.5 hour nap. Woke up. So, I breastfed him when he cued for food. He softened my breast rather quickly, but dozed off.

Slept for another 2.5 hours. woke up.

    And...wasn't hungry.
whaaaaat? He didn't cue for food for a whole hour after he woke up.

Has his stomach gotten a little larger, maybe, so that he can hold more food for longer?

Sounds like he was full. At that age babies become better at sucking and get more out of the breast. Sounds completely normal!

Just watch him for cues. It's normal for older babies to occasionally go longer without nursing. But if he doesn't ask to nurse, you can always offer.
