Great info from the PPs. I'd just like to add that if you can find a way to pump more often, you're going to get better results. 1-2x/day isn't a lot of pumping. Moms who are relactating are usually advised to use the pump to mimic the nursing pattern of a newborn baby- that is, to pump 8-12 times per day. Which is a huge amount of work, particularly when you have a 3 year old zipping around and needing your attention- but if you can jam in as many pump sessions as possible you're going to get better results.
