    All of this is definitely good to know - I was worried that it may be impacting on her somehow - me offering and her crying, it's probably impacting more on me than her I guess... for the most part she nurses great - she has gotten into a habit of comfort nursing but I actually enjoy it as well, makes me feel very close to her which is lovely for both of us.
    Thanks again for your support, I really didn't think it was right to wait till she was crying, or at least not for me anyway.... so glad to hear I'm not alone in that thought.

    That is so true! I remember feeling so rejected when my baby would scream at the breast. He would scream as if I was killing him. And the truth is he was fine. Babies scream. Especially as they start becoming more alert, but still don't quite know what to do with themselves. It's just part of being a baby. I was the one with the problem, not him.

    You are doing great! Don't let anyone make you feel otherwise!

    tanpixie - you're doing a great job!! I know that being a first time mother is so stressful and it feels like every little thing you do is going to screw your precious baby up for life. But you won't screw your baby up, and you are a FANTASTIC mother.
