Thread: storing milk...

    I have some milk in the fridge that I want to freeze... can I do this?

    Yes. Check for lipase first, but you can store it in the freezer. Be sure you date it with the day you pumped it.

    I'd add, if you are freezing in a container like a bottle, be sure to leave room at the top (not all the way full of milk) because as the liquid freezes, it expands a bit. I fill a container bottle only 75% to allow for that. But I really like the Lansinoh storage bags so I can store it flat and write all my details on it, like date and amount.
