My daughter who is almost 2 months on the 4th of june, she chokes on the breast quite a bit during a let down, I try to pull out my breast when I am letting down so the initital gush doesn't get her gaspy but I can never time it right... She seems to get gassy from it too..

This link has suggestions for dealing with fast letdowns: http://kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/supp.../fast-letdown/. Try the reclined nursing positions first, they may be enough to allow your baby to handle the flow.

Nursing while reclined saved my nursing relationship! I just leaned back on a few pillows, put my baby on my stomach, and let him latch. It took several tries to get down a relined position that worked for us, but once we got it nursing became far more pleasant for both of us.
