    Wow, I am a mess in my office at work reading that..... thanks for sharing.

    That was beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I always felt it was a blessing to be able to nurse DD when she was going through chemo, knowing that I wasn't just nourishing her, but was also protecting her and making her feel better.

    Of course she was of an "acceptable" age to nurse.

    It sounds like that nurse was very supportive. I wonder if doctors and nurses for really sick kiddos are more supportive of breastfeeding than your average pediatrician. I was fully supported by all of the doctors and nurses while DD was being treated; they would even wait for an exam until she finished nursing.
