Wait. What will that much protein do to my kidney? I eat carbs but a low amount. And I eat a very high amount of protein. like 75 to 100 grams a day. And about the same amount of Carbs. What about my kidneys?

http://www.webmd.com/diet/news/20030...n-hurt-kidneys well, now I guess they say if you have normal kidney function you're OK but don't do it if you have abnormal kidney function.

OH I read that. My understanding is that the danger is if you eat NO carbs. But since I am eating LOW carbs I am OK.

75-100 g protein doesn't even sound terribly high, if you're eating 2000 cals/day that's only up to 20% of your calories from protein. I mean, it doesn't sound low or anything but to me that just sounds pretty normal/good.

I don't. I eat 1200-1385 a day. And my goal carb intake is supposed to be 165 and my protein goal is supposed to be 45. I usually go way OVER my protein goal and way UNDER my carb goal.

Yeah after I posted that I figured you had to be under 2000 with the carb gram you gave. I bet you're fine. You have energy to do your workouts and everything else. Is that a particular diet's guidelines?

No. It's the goal to lose 2lb a week a myfitnesspal.com Where I log all my food. But never lose 2lbs a week.

That sounds really low, honestly, I know every body is different but I can't maintain a diet less than 1800-2000 or I don't have energy to sleep (low blood sugar keeps me awake) let alone run. 2 lbs/week is pretty aggressive anyway. I'm not trying to be negative, but it just seems very low calorie to me.

Yeah Well, I am 5'2 and whenever I eat more than 1500 a gain. No matter how much exercise I do. I am just not supposed to eat as much as other people. Tall people.
