Default reflux back or is it teething...or the flu???

The past 5 days my 10 month old son caught a cold and has picked up a lot more nursing sessions and has been taking less solids. I generally don't worry when he isnt as keen on solids but he also started spitting up...he never was one to spit up (he had silent reflux in his newborn months) but is suddenly doing so multiple times a day. his diapers are also stinkier and more watery than usual...is this part of the cold? I don't have a pedi that i trust/like so i havent taken him to the dr...he had a fever on and off the first day or two but hasnt in the past few days. he sleeps well at night but his naps have been really short and he seems very tired and uncomfortable during the day...what gives? (he cut two top teeth around the same time as the cold-but it definately was a cold because he had a cough, and loooots of runny clear boogers-which are still leaking out). i have been nursing whenever he wants to keep him hydrated so I'm wondering if maybe the watery stools are due to all the extra fluids? suggestions/advice will be much appreciated...im just worried that maybe he has a stomach virus or food allergy :-/

I don't know that you can sort out what's going on with your LO based on the data you have. But the fact that your LO has a fever, a booger-y cold, stinky diapers, isn't as interested in solids as usual, and seems tired and uncomfortable makes me think he's got some sort of a bug. An allergy doesn't fit with what you describe, especially considering the relatively sudden onset.

You're doing exactly what you should be doing to get him well: nurse, nurse, nurse! There's nothing better when baby isn't feeling well. Even if he throws up 5 minutes after he nursed, he will still get hydration and nutrients from the milk. It digests fast!

This sounds like a germ to me, and I would just nurse as much as baby wants. It passes in a few days.
