    Thank you for the replies and support. Luckily DS is night weaned, for the most part, now. He wakes at around 4:30 or 5 and wants to nurse. This morning, I didn't want to nurse him, but he kept waking every 15 minutes so DH (who has been doing the night parenting since we started night weaning him - which REALLY helped with his sleeping habits, no more waking every hour or two to nurse) asked if he bites when he is tired. I tried it on my not as hurt side, and even though he was half asleep, he still scratched off the when coming unlatched. So that, to me, makes me think it is just habit now. Looks like I have some work cut out for me. I won't be doing as many nursing sessions for the next few days, especially on the bad side, but I don't think either of us want to quit nursing at this point.

    Wow. I'm really sorry you are going through this! I hope you get him to understand that he shouldn't bite you pretty soon!
