Default How long before you were yourself?

I've heard it can take upwards of a year for hormones to balance out after weaning.

Does anyone know if this is accurate?

I am still at 1 nursing session a day....it is making my body do whacky things.

When Joe dropped to once a day, I had a several months where I didn't feel like myself at all. At times, I felt very down. I had a lot going on in my life, but I really think weaning played a part in just how low I was feeling. (I had PPD too, though, so I'm definitely prone to depression). However, the worst of it only lasted a couple of months (crappy months, but still). Now I'm pregnant again, so it's really hard to say, but by the time I conceived again, I was feeling pretty much back to normal.

That said, Joe didn't fully wean until after I got pregnant. I think the pregnancy really changed the weaning hormones. So it's possible I would have felt more hormonal if I hadn't gotten pregnant.
