Default clogged duct for 5 days and counting

Here is the back story, Friday night hubby and I watched a movie on the couch and I guess I was pressed up too hard against him that I got my very first clogged duct.... lucky me. I read somewhere that you can squeeze it out if you find the white dot which I did at 2 am. Felt so good to empty it. But I still did not feel complety empty. Baby does not want it because its so slow. Takes forever with heat massage and pump to get enough out so it does not hurt.

Help. What can I do other than heat massage and pump?

When I EPed, I had one that I couldn't massage all the way out, or get the pump at that area at all...so...I asked DH to "suck/nurse" it out...it worked for me.

Moisture on the nipple may help. Some women find that putting a cotton ball with olive oil on it over the nipple makes the skin more supple and helps them empty blisters or plugs.

Thanks for the reply.... Today was better but my girl does not want to eat. Strike maybe? It's hard because she does not use bottles and has been rejecting her dippy cup. If its not one thing its another.

You also can fill a disposable diaper with hot water to make a hot compress that lasts a long time. It worked better for me than a shower.

    How old is your daughter?

I work for a chiropractor who happens to have an ultrasound machine. One treatment of that and my plugged ducts went away and never came back. Perhaps call around to chiropractors in your area and see if any of them have a machine and would be willing to give you a treatment?
