Hi!
So I had oversupply w/my first. And bc we need our son to take a bottle some b/c we are full time wedding photographers, I have been pumping to get him some bottle practice. I had been pumping for my freezer supply, then found out my milk is high in lipase so I took a pumping break last week til we figured this all out.
Now that I haven't been pumping like I was (1x every other day & pumping 5-6oz in 8 mins) he's got the dreaded green poop.
He needs some serious practice w/the bottle as he is only taking 1.5oz at an attempt & fusses a good bit through it so we know he needs more practice before our wedding season starts.
So I need to pump about 2-3oz in the morning for him to practice with for one feeding a day.
Is this only going to worsen my situation or will it slowly even out? I intend on only pumping what we need for the weddings we shoot & not building a huge freezer supply.
Try pumping one side and nursing the other. If he isn't bothered, green poop is within the range of normal. If you can, scald and mix bottles to even put the fat in them.
