    Default One year and counting!

It has been one year today. Unlike with the first two, Glowworm has gotten no formula. (DD had problems latching at the beginning and I had problems with pumping supply with DS1.) I quit pumping this past week but nursing is still going strong and my freezer stash means that he will still get my milk during the day for quite a while.

I will put up his birth story later today.

Congratulations, mama! Awesome achievement. I remember what a proud moment it was for me with baby #2 when I realized that not only had I nursed her for a full year, but that I'd been able to do it without formula. I had supply issues in the beginning with baby #1 and had to supplement, and I was glad that formula existed when I needed it- but man, was I happy not to need it the second time round!
Coolest thing my big girl said recently: "How can you tell the world is moving when you are standing on it?"

And to your LO too! Since we don't have any family close by we are having a pretty low-key day. We did the Mardi Gras parade at the Farmers market this morning (DD and DS1 decorated the jogging stroller) and we are making cake pops from the cupcakes left over from DD's science fair project. We are going to have Glowworm's favorite things--red beans and rice and roasted sweet potatoes--for dinner.

We had about 20 or so family members and friends. My DD loves beans too! However, she wouldn't dig in to ANY food because everyone was just staring at her. She just grunted and clenched her teeth at everyone.
