Arg. This will teach me to stay on my routine over weekends - had a blissful time feeding baby all weekend and not really pumping - he's been getting up at night again and so I figured I didn't need to over the weekend. And so I slacked off on routine, which meant I didn't keep the collection bottles in order and such, figuring I'd just do it this morning. Of course, in morning-fog I grabbed my pump and saw the cooler thing already in it, which says to my morning-brain "ok, you are ready to go!"

Get in to work and go to pump, to find I brought one bottle and also forgot the cooler ice pack thingy. Way to go, me!!!!

Guess a trip to BRU is in the cards, instead of lunch

Single pump and then switch sides. I have so done that.

The ice pack...it's optional, as the milk will be OK at room temp for some hours. Or get some ice at work

ETA: I shared this on FB, but it's funny now looking back. I got home from work and went to pump. My clothes are dirty from work, so I took them off. I was looking at my iPad while pumping, and a message popped up that someone wanted to FaceTime. I meantto click no, but I accidentally bumped yes. And my brother got an eyeful.

There is just something humiliating, isn't there, about pumping? I was never embarrassed to nurse, but pumping just feels so unnatural.

That's what I did this morning but have two more sessions to go, heh. The nurse gave me an ice pack for the cooler, and there's a fridge up here, just need proper containers to pump into.

As for your brother... good job! It's important to continue to humiliate and embarrass our siblings, even in adulthood. *grin*

Do you have any bags to pour off into? Or even a water bottle?

I think one of the moms even just poured off into clean coffee mugs last thread

I have some water bottles but am a little hesitant about that! I guess whatever works, but the BRU is ten minutes away so may as well go buy some. Then tomorrow bring some extra to stash at my desk, in case I do this again (which is all but guaranteed given the brain fog I've had the last few weeks)! heh

Grab some bags to store. They take up way less space and if you forget to bring them back, no biggie. You have more

Hi everyone! I'm new to this thread although I've been pumping at work since September. I need some tips on increasing my output. My LO is 14 months but just started taking a bottle recently (delayed due to a genetic deletion so not taking in tons of solids while I'm at work, and won't take a cup of water or anything). He has already blown through what I had stored up in the freezer. I pump twice at work but try to do it for at least 20 minutes, sometimes 30. He comes and nurses during my lunch 3 days a week. This AM I only got 2 ounces when I pumped. I have never gotten more than 3 oz at a time total. When we are together my milk seems abundant. I'm afraid to go overboard on supplements because I've struggled with oversupply before, but I guess I could try the Mothers Milk tea again??? Any advice?

I keep storage bags in mp pump bag just for this reason. I have actually pumped into clean mugs before and taken it home in bags or in my water bottle. You never know when you are going to forget something.

Hope you get stuff all figured out. Good luck

Morning pump did not go so well. The Dude was sick all weekend AGAIN. Another ear infection or an ear infection still, and conjunctivitis poor thing is all stuffy and was not the best nurser this weekend.
