I reciently went thru the 9 month "wall" it was horriable and pumping was not going well but now after all the work to make it thru my supply is up a little.

Just wondering what you did to get through the wall -- did you pump extra?

I went to 4-5 pumps a day, 3 at work and 1-2 at home, and nursing as much as I could. It helped me that I had 2 long weekends with the baby during that time. My son is a boobie baby and on off days will nurse 10+ times in a day.

Thanks. I should probably start pumping at home too. It's extra hard now that DS is waking a mere three hours after going to bed -- I worry that if I pump, I won't have enough to satisfy him. Plus it's a pain.

Demand=Supply. It may take a few days of doing it but it will be fine. If you are concerned pump like an hour after he goes to bed; you wont get much at first but it will get better.

After having a dip in my supply, I find myself working really hard to get every drop of milk out of my horns/valves/membranes after I pump. Lol. It is not like those 10 drops are really going to make a difference but I NEED them out of there Doing much better pumping though. Finally.

Can you pump into the same bottles that you use for your LO?? If you are concerned about every drop that may help.

Also another thing that I did when I had a big dip in supply was to Hand Express when I was finished pumping. I did not get much just a few ML but it was more than I had before. I did this right into the bottles that I was using.

Argh . . . . supply is plummeting. I only got about 4 ounces this morning when usually I get 7. What in the world is going on???

Getting my pump checked this afternoon, which should rule out one potential source of trouble, at least.

I use a medela pump and she uses avent bottles so I can't pump into them.
