Default Stop pumping at work - half day

When people stop pumping at work, do they switch to formula? Or something else? Just solids?

LO is 10+ months old. I am away from him 3 afternoons a week for 4 hr at a time. He nurses every 2 hr or more often. I send him with a 2 oz (give or take) bottle for the middle of the afternoon. Sometimes I have to skip pumping because I am just too busy (or people are with me), and it is fine... But now my stash is next to nothing.

So... I'm trying to figure out what to do with him during that time. I obviously don't want to do cow's milk but am not sure if formula is the way to go.
Mother to Seth, born 4/1/11: 5 lb. 13 oz.
    5/2/11 - 8 lb 12 oz. 6/1/11 - 11 lb 12 oz.
    7/1/11 - 14 lb *unofficial* 8/1/11 - 16 lb 3 oz
    10/3/11 - 18 lb

    Good job, growing boy!

I had my sitter offer solids with water or dilute juice. For my current baby, we added whole milk in at 10.5 or thereabouts months.
