Yes, BLS = BLW. It's kind of confusing because in the US, weaning generally refers to the cessation of breastfeeding, with the implication that it's a very short time period, and in the UK, weaning just means the transition to a diet that contains all or mostly solid foods, which takes months. So when a US mom talks about baby-led weaning, she may mean that her baby decides when to stop nursing. And a UK mom may use the same term to talk about allowing her baby to set the pace with solids, without really talking about whether or not she's stopping nursing. Make sense? No, I thought not.
