Question Coconut oil instead of lanolin?

I'm just wondering if anyone has used our had recommended to them to use coconut oil instead of lanolin cream? My cousins lactation consultant recommended it to her and when I run out of what I have here (which was brought for me from the US) I was wondering if that might be a good alternative for something I can get here.

Yup! I've used it . Actually, never used lanolin, used a plant-based comparable...and then coconut oil as needed after that. Works well.

Seems like it would be a great option. Antimicrobial, as well.

I use coconut oil for everything! On baby's bum to prevent/treat diaper rash, dry baby skin, on sore nipples, for baby massage... and for mom's dry cuticles, elbows and lips. It makes everything smell like heaven, too!
