    Default Is this normal?

Normally I pump 3 times and get 6 oz the first time 5 the second and about 4 the third. Tonight I pumped 5 oz and just now barely 3. This is the first time my pumping output had been dramatically different. Sometimes is varies by an ounce ot two. Should I be concerned?

I also wanted to add that I work nights and when I'm home during the day I nurse on demand and just had my 3 days off. When I'm home he only nurses and I don't pump.

It is normal. It will vary according to countless factors. I wouldn't worry unless you stop putting out enough for whomever is feeding your kiddo while you are gone. You are doing great, keep it up!

It varies from day to day, and where you are in your cycle, even if you are not actually having menses yet. It's a trend to watch, for sure, but not something to be upset about right away.

If it continues, evaluate your pump first, as pump problems are easier to fix. Like change the membranes and give it a couple days.

You can try drinking a bit of Mother's milk tea if you are super stressed.

Nurse lots on your days off Better than any pump.

Ok usually I get two letdowns on first 2 times I pump. I just finished pumping for my first time and only had one letdown. I ate oatmeal twice since yesterday and drank tea twice also. I also changed the membranes and the pump is the symphony here at the hospital. I know letdown can be mental but I'm starting to worry. My pumping output was down by 4 ozs last night and it looks to be trending that at again. Any advice?

My guess is it may be due to your stress or if you've started solids then perhaps babe is nursing less signaling less milk production. Tips: cover your pump while pumping, look at a picture/video babe while pumoing, read a funny story while pumping. Try replacvalves and batteries and dusting motor. Eat oatmeal for breakfast.

Or your menses may be returning.
