I've (luckily) never had to deal with thrush (knock on wood) but I just wanted to say I totally commiserate with you on the PAIN thing. I thought, after the labor and pushing (also no meds here) that I could deal with anything. But I had serious pain with BFing until 5-6 weeks. I was so sick of my life just being constant pain.

It does get better... one day you will be pain free again and you will barely remember how miserable you were. I guess that is a necessity or else we'd never want more than one baby!! Hang in there... sometimes i think they just need to grow bigger mouths and get some experience at bfing. My son was terrible at first but he's an old pro now.

I agree 100% that you need Diflucan - both you and your baby. Nystain isn't going to cut it.

I would advise reading this very carefully: http://www.breastfeedinginc.ca/conte...agename=doc-CP and this: http://www.llli.org/llleaderweb/lv/lvoctnov98p91.html

I would suggest in addition to the Diflucan - probiotics and GSE. You want to take the GSE at different times than the probiotics and Diflucan. The GSE is so strong it needs a four or six hour window IIRC so it won't kill of any of the good parts of the other stuff.

I would get it ASAP and get cracking on beating this thrush down.

So, as if I needed another physical ailment, this morning I woke up with a rash on my chest and stomach. It is now also on my arms and hands. Any idea if this is related, or should I just add it to the list of issues?

I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through! You are *brave*!

I'm sure you've done plenty of Internet searches, but this page is filled with info...maybe you've already found it?

Thank you for posting, as I had no idea how easy it is to get, and I will be using preventatives now!
